The Eye Pendant
“I like you; your eyes are full of language."
―
On a blue Campitos Turquoise, with a few pyrite inclusions, I Scrimshawed this dark and soulful eye. This traditional etching technique is one I'm falling in love with, it combines my old love for sketching and my new love for making jewelry.
Bezel set on a hand textured 22g silver plate, the eye hangs from an infinity 30" silver chain with a few handmade links for added interest. Oxidized and buffed to a soft glow this pendant is elegant, striking, and certainly a one of a kind.

Care instructions: The eye was executed with a scribe and permanent India ink then rubbed gently with Renaissance museum wax to preserve the pigment. Like with any Scrimshaw or fine jewelry keep it away from water, soap, chemicals, or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. If you need to wipe it gently with a soft cotton cloth. Do not scrub, a rough scrubbing can remove pigment from fine lines.
