Bee In My Bonnet - Silver Hairpin

A solid sterling silver cast bee (yes a real bee!) buzzes on top of this hand formed hairpin nibbling on a tiny drop of citrine honey. The double backplate is made of 18 gauge silver and textured by hand. The 10 gauge silver prongs are slightly flattened with the ends tapered for comfort. The hairpin was tumbled, oxidized and buffed to a pretty shine to make details pop. This unique hairpin is quirky and elegant, solidly made to last generations.

Measurement

Hairpin is 5.75" from the top of the circle to the bottom tip, and 4.25" from the bottom of the circle to the tip.
